HAVE YOUR SAY on ASEAN youth engagement & MDGs!
This e-consultation is a preparatory process for the lead-up to the proposed ASEAN Youth Leadership Forum in November 2007, in advance of the 13th ASEAN Summit. It is carried out in 2 parts with 2 corresponding objectives:
I. To identify issues, best practices, challenges and needs in ASEAN youth engagement
II. To facilitate the online collaborative preparation of an effective framework for youth engagement in the MDGs and broader development agenda in our respective ASEAN countries. This framework is the Southeast Asia Youth Partnership for Development (SEAYPAD).
THE LINKS: SEAYPAD, FORUM, ASEAN SUMMIT
The ASEAN Youth Leadership Forum participants will be part of the preparatory process for the outcome framework document on SEAYPAD. At the Forum, the framework will be finalised for adoption by the participants of the Forum.
The outcome document will then be presented to the 13th ASEAN Summit, as the recommendation for youth engagement in ASEAN development.
The e-consultation is moderated by the Singapore International Youth Council, in partnership with Green Ocean [Viet Nam], World Youth Foundation [Malaysia], & Youth for Sustainable Development Assembly [Philippines].
