Description:
This youth caucus discusses and forms a youth strategy and agenda for action and implementation at the WB/IMF Annual Meetings 2006.
Participation: The caucus is open to anyone who identifies as youth, from any country, who wishes to participate in the discussions around a youth strategy at the WB/IMF 2006 meetings.
Objectives:
i) Formulate youth agenda priorities for advancement at the meetings
ii) Identify relevant entry points or opportunities (eg. specific meeting sessions or individuals/orgs) through which the agenda priorities can be advanced
iii) Building the capacity of youth - through information exchange and skills sharing - to be involved in meaningful participation at decision-making forums such as WB/IMF and other international platforms
Format: This caucus operates as a live online discussion group, with discussion outcomes setting the framework of our advocacy strategies. Caucus ad-hoc working groups may be formed as and when group initiators take ownership of any particular roles (eg. research, media, etc) or issues (eg. youth engagement in MDGs, etc).
