Youth from every corner of the planet are putting into motion innovative initiatives linked to the use and protection of water. Through seeing these wonderful experiences and taking into account their enormous power to transform, an idea was born: to build a global youth movement for water.
Our first challenge is to gather different ways of seeing and understanding the world, articulate those visions, and create a Global Strategy which represents our understanding, our feelings and our actions.
With this objective in mind, hundreds of youth from around the world will meet in Buenos Aires between April 12th and 14th, 2007 to participate in the 1st International Meeting for Water and Youth. Nevertheless, we know that the work begins far earlier: through the discussion process and preparatory activities which allow us to hear your voice. We want to think together in order to act together!
TakingITGlobal is joining this initiative, providing you with the opportunity to express yourself and exchange ideas. During the entire month of March, a TIG/Water Group will be in place, in which we will discuss water, its problems, possible solutions, our role as youth, etc. We want to know what you think; we want to hear your ideas.
