Dear all,
My name is Jean-Claude KAMWENUBUSA, 23 years old a young Burundian boy.
About my studying background, I am studying in the colleges, in the 1st Arts Modern.
In order to enrich my skill life and knowledge by practical experience, I have participated as a volunteer in various youth projects ranging of young in the communities. These activities have also contributed to my concern about different cultures and habits/attitudes as being mostly carried out together with people of other nationalities or religious and social background.
Currently I am a Legal Representative / President and Urban community Representative of Association pour la Solidarité et l’Assistance Socio-Sanitaire (ASASS-BURUNDI=Christian’s Organization),) a.s.b.l a not- profit-making Organization which aims to Fight against all Public Health problems, especially HIV/AIDS, Malnutrition, poverty, promote gender, Vitamin A deficiency, to provide assistance as well as Medical to AIDS victims, Material and Social as well. We believe strongly in the power of Positive Networking- Solidarity-Love and through Mutual aid of Young and adults persons
Through my long-lasting sports career I have gained the ability to live and volunteered as a part of a team, necessary for field volunteer. Having experienced long-term stays in several foreign countries, I have discovered my positive attitude towards international and multicultural environment.
I have volunteered in youth ‘Association in the University of Burundi (Association pour la Promotion des Nouvelles Technologies de l’ Information et de la Communication (APNTIC-BURUNDI) a.s.b.l by coordinating Steering committee’s Information since 2003 till now. I carried out activities like sensitization campaigns the youths about HIV/AIDS and ICT, capacity building, trainings, seminars, amongst others and Organized World Youth Ceremonies there.
I am also a trained peer educator and have participated in training organized by National Council of Fighting AIDS, Malnutrion diseases, vitamin A deficiency, by CWMF, LMTS, Public Health Minister and I am trained in using ICT by various organisation as AUF, APNTIC, ….
I have created youth Club Challenge in Communities and schools which are going on in the topics of HIV/AIDS. I have also worked as volunteers for a number of organizations in Burundi such Jeune et Enfant du Monde, AJVD.I have also represented International Organization in BURUNDI such as Village Suisse ONG…
In order to help people and inspire youth to have creative spirit, I have made contact with Volunteers and we are opening a new project (Social and Health care) in Buterere community in which youth victims of HIV and pregnant mother, orphans, in that Community will benefit health information, training, care, shelters… Please check it out, join and contribute!
I have helped and I do also in other field such as of healing hurts (Trauma healing): I believe that arts have a great impact on the change of the world. I used to Singing, Playing Piano in the Team named WORSHIP TEAM since a long time, and now I am in the Ministry SHEMEZA MUSIC with Honoured Mr. Apollinaire HABONIMANA and David –Tresor NDUWIMANA pray in LIFE CENTER Church, a place where people receive Peace from GOD.
I believe that s that the Truth will set all youth free and walking in the light is the only path of Fellowship. He calls Youth over the World to be a righteousness of the world because OUR BROTHER AND SISTER:
- Learn from us
- Practise from us
- We are their mirrors in which they see their image
That why he said: It is our responsibility not to allow sin to reign in our mortal bodies by not using it as instruments of Unrighteousness. (2 Rom: 12-13)
On behalf of YGCA, I am thrilled to help and volunteer and serve as NATIONAL FOCAL POINT in Burundi, I order to fight and prevent the against the HIV/AIDS among young people and all social plagues.
Once more, thank you for the confidence GYCA’s team has put in me and I promise to put in nothing but my competences to make sure that we attain our objectives. I will be happy to be reading from you all and attending events organised by your associations, both in Cameroon and Central Africa Region. I strongly will to hearing from you all, sharing information, events, articles on HIV/AIDS from over the world,
